Pandamimi case for Kindle Paperwhite

I bought this for a Kindle Paperwhite. It is well constructed considering the cheap price, and fits the Paperwhite well. It is really only designed to hold up the Paperwhite in portrait mode, to prop it up in landscape mode there is a little plastic clip (clearly an afterthought, marginally useful, and certain to be quickly lost) that comes with it. There is no provision for storing the clip in the case. If you are looking for a very thin, simple case that will also act as a stand, this is a good choice. The manufacturer did make one minor mistake in the packaging (in my humble opinion), in the way it was shipped. When I first received it I liked the overall design, but couldn't believe there wasn't a catch or elastic strap to hold the cover closed when it wasn't being used. I had seen similar covers with elastic, and it seemed like an obvious oversight. The magnet works well to turn it on and off, but is NOT a catch. I was in the process of writing this review before returning it to Amazon when I noticed the ad said it did have an elastic band. On closer inspection it turned out there was a band. But instead of being attached to the cover, it was attached to the back, and instead of shipping it with the band on the outside (where it could be easily seen) it was shipped with the band on the inside, between the back cover and the 'pouch' the Paperwhite slides into. In other words, it has a band, it works well, but you have to know it's there and really look for it when you use it for the first time. All in all this is a pretty good case if you want something as small and thin as possible, that will still protect your Paperwhite inside a purse or briefcase.

Does exactly what it needs to do.

Awesome product... doesn't cost an arm and a leg like some of the cases out there and I love how you can prop it up to read while I'm eating lunch. It protects your screen and keeps your Paperwhite nice and snug.

Very functional, sleek

This product fits the paper white very well. I like the different angled settings, and if I am feeling really lazy, it balances nicely on my lap! Good construction, and it adds little bulk and hardly and weight to the kindle. Sleep/wake function is good for saving the battery. A nice feature not mentioned in the description is that the kindle cant fall out. The part holding the bottom of the kindle is of course closed and can't be opened, but the top area where you slide it in comes with a sturdy flap that tucks in behind the device, preventing slippage. I'll be taking this everywhere!
